Schedule a message

Zulip lets you schedule a message to be sent at a later time. For example, if you are working outside of regular business hours for your organization, you can schedule a message for next morning to avoid disturbing others. You can also schedule a message reminder for yourself.

  1. Open the compose box.
  2. Write a message.
  3. Click the ellipsis () next to the send () button.
  4. Click Schedule message.
  5. Select one of the suggested scheduling options, or pick a custom time.
  1. Click on Scheduled messages in the left sidebar. If the views section is collapsed, click on the ellipsis (), and select Scheduled messages.
  2. Click on the message you want to edit or reschedule.
  3. (optional) Edit the message.
  4. Click the ellipsis () next to the send () button.
  5. Select the previously scheduled time, or click Schedule message to pick a new time.

  2. Click on the message you want to send now.
  3. (optional) Edit the message.
  4. Click the send () button, or use a keyboard shortcut to send your message.
